The GOAT of the week is not to be confused with the “Greatest of All Time”. No no no, the GOAT of the week is back in its original form and given to the person who’s made the dumbest, worst, most-idiotic, hilarious, ill-timed, mistake, or otherwise just the best thing that we can all laugh at from the prior week. Let’s get right to it.
Our GOAT Award Winners ๐
๐1. DeAndre Baker๐
A recent first-round pick playing on a 10-million dollar rookie contract deemed it a better idea to rob schmucks at gunpoint AT A PARTY THAT HE WAS ATTENDING. This wasn’t planned robbery where he walked in with a mask and held people up. No… He got angry, pulled a gun & straight-up robbed people.
WHAT THE F##$ DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN DEANDRE? For the love of all things holy I’ll just never be able to understand the ignorance that some people possess.
A promising career & life wasted gets you GOAT #1.
๐2. Derrius Guice๐
By this point it’s old news but still unbelievable. Derrius Guice was arrested (turned himself in) for allegedly strangling his girlfriend to the point where she passed out and he thought he had killed her.
Scary stuff. In addition to the strangling & within the last 24 hours, there have been additional allegations of “misconduct”. Guice’s name came up in 2 sexual assaults while attending LSU & they sound bad as well.
Without going too far into what a piece of shit a person is for mistreating women, we simply award Mr. Guice our GOAT of the week. What goes around comes around my man & adios to your career.
๐3. Big Ten Football๐
Look. There’s a pandemic. We all get that. We can talk in circles about whether or not canceling Big Ten Football was the appropriate response given the risks that come with COVID-19.
Where we CAN sit-back and wonder is the approach, the communication, & the fact that NOT ALL CONFERENCES are on-board.
How oh how does the Big Ten cancel football while other conferences are still in consideration? How is this not a group decision made by all conferences in football? Was the idea to “be a leader” and not listen to anyone else.
This decision to close while the SEC and other conferences are apparently full steam ahead is baffling to say the least & will impact their sports & programs for years to come.
The last attempt to save the season has been posted by Justin Fields (petition here) & that’s still not likely to go anywhere. Bye bye Big 10 Football 2020 & RIP recruiting classes for the next few years.
Congrats to our GOATs of the week!
